How does selling a client's home to Opendoor work, start to finish?

You're the agent on the deal the whole way:

  1. Request an offer. Enter your client's address at opendoor.com/agents and answer a few questions about the home. Takes minutes.
  2. Take photos. Walk the home with the Opendoor Key app, our guided photo app. About 30 minutes, no in-person visit from Opendoor needed (although that option is available if you and your client prefer).
  3. We finalize. Our team reviews your photos and prepares two offers for your client: Cash (we buy the home outright, your client closes in as few as 21 days) and Cash Now, More Later (cash up front now, plus a potential second payment when the renovated home resells, with you as the listing agent).
  4. Review with your client. Walk them through both numbers. If they like one, they sign and pick their close date.
  5. Diligence visit. A third-party inspector confirms the home matches your photos (about 90 minutes, results in about 3 days).
  6. Close. Your client completes Digital Checkout (no Opendoor visit needed), gets paid, and your bonus comes through escrow at closing.
