How do I request a cash offer from Opendoor?
Go to opendoor.com and enter your home address to get started. The entire process takes just a few minutes, and requesting an offer does not commit you to anything.
How to request your offer
- Go to opendoor.com and type your home address into the search bar on the homepage.
- Confirm your property details. You will be asked a short series of questions about your home -- including the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, overall condition, and any upgrades you have made.
- Review your Estimated Home Value. Once you have answered the questions, Opendoor will generate your Estimated Home Value (the initial estimate for your home) right on screen.
That is it. The whole process typically takes under five minutes.
Tip: Answer the home detail questions as accurately as you can. The closer your answers match the actual condition of your home, the less likely your offer will change later.
What happens after you get your Estimated Home Value
Your Estimated Home Value is not your final number. After you receive it, the next step is a home assessment -- either a self-assessment where you take photos using the Opendoor Key App, or an in-person walkthrough by an Opendoor team member, depending on your market. Note that in-person assessments are not available for every home, and your dashboard will advise what is available.
Once the assessment is complete, your Opendoor team reviews everything and prepares your cash offer (also called your final offer).
You are not committed to anything
Requesting an Estimated Home Value is free and does not obligate you to sell. You can walk away at any point before you sign a purchase agreement. Think of it as a starting point to understand what Opendoor can offer for your home.
