How do I stop getting calls, texts, or emails from Opendoor?
If you'd like to stop receiving marketing communications from Opendoor, here's how to opt out by channel.
Stop marketing emails
Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email from Opendoor. This removes you from future marketing email lists. The change may take a few days to fully take effect.
Stop text messages
Reply STOP to any text message from Opendoor. You'll receive a confirmation that you've been unsubscribed. You will not receive further marketing texts after opting out.
Stop phone calls
If you receive a marketing call, ask the representative to remove your number from the call list. You can also email support@opendoor.com with your phone number and a request to be removed. Include your full name so the team can locate your account.
Transaction-related messages are different
If you have an active transaction (you're selling to or buying from Opendoor), you may continue to receive messages related to that transaction. These are not marketing — they are updates about your sale or purchase, such as closing timeline reminders, document requests, or scheduling confirmations.
Opendoor is required to send certain notifications tied to active transactions. These messages will stop once your transaction is complete.
Receiving messages you didn't sign up for?
If you're getting calls or texts you didn't expect, it's possible someone entered your phone number or email by mistake when requesting an offer or scheduling a tour. Contact support and the team will investigate and remove your information from the incorrect account.
Tip: Opting out of marketing communications will not affect your ability to log in, view your dashboard, or manage an active transaction.
I never contacted Opendoor — why am I receiving messages?
If you are receiving calls, texts, or emails from Opendoor but never requested an offer or created an account:
- Someone may have entered your contact information by mistake when requesting an offer for their own property.
- Your phone number may have previously belonged to someone who had an Opendoor account.
In either case, follow the steps above to opt out of all communications. If messages continue after opting out, call 888-352-7075 and ask to have your contact information removed entirely from Opendoor's system.
