Keeping your utilities on for a few days after you close helps us ensure there’s no interruption of service. 

Most utility companies require documents from the title company to show that Opendoor is the new owner before utilities can be transferred to Opendoor’s name. It typically takes a day or more for us to get those documents, so keeping your utilities on for a few days gives us the time we need to provide the correct documentation to the utility company.
