How long do I have to accept my offer?
Every Opendoor offer comes with an expiration date. The exact deadline depends on your market and situation, so the best way to check is to look at your specific offer.
Where to find your offer deadline
Log into your account at opendoor.com and go to your dashboard. Your offer expiration date is displayed directly on the offer details page. You can accept at any time before that deadline.
How to accept your offer
- Log into your account at opendoor.com.
- Go to your dashboard and review your offer details, including the breakdown of fees and your net proceeds.
- Click "Accept Offer" when you are ready to move forward.
You are not committed until you sign the purchase agreement. Accepting the offer is the first step — you will still have a chance to review everything before signing.
Tip: If you're close to your deadline and still deciding, you can accept your offer to keep that amount in place and still change your mind later — there's no penalty or fee to cancel any time before closing.
What happens if your offer expires?
If the deadline passes without you accepting, the offer is no longer active. You may still be able to get a new offer, but the amount could be different based on current market conditions. See our article on expired offers for more details.
Can I extend my offer deadline?
Offer deadlines are set when your offer is prepared, and they can't be extended — including by our support team. Your offer amount reflects market conditions at that time, which is why it comes with a fixed expiration date.
If your deadline passes, selling to Opendoor is still an option. You can request a refreshed offer based on current market conditions, which may come in higher or lower than your original amount. See expired offers for the steps.
If you're weighing your options and want to talk it through, your Opendoor advisor can walk you through the numbers before your deadline.
