How long do I have to accept my offer?
Every Opendoor offer comes with an expiration date. The exact deadline depends on your market and situation, so the best way to check is to look at your specific offer.
Where to find your offer deadline
Log into your account at opendoor.com and go to your dashboard. Your offer expiration date is displayed directly on the offer details page. You can accept at any time before that deadline.
How to accept your offer
- Log into your account at opendoor.com.
- Go to your dashboard and review your offer details, including the breakdown of fees and your net proceeds.
- Click "Accept Offer" when you are ready to move forward.
You are not committed until you sign the purchase agreement. Accepting the offer is the first step — you will still have a chance to review everything before signing.
Tip: If your deadline is approaching and you need more time to decide, contact Opendoor support right away. In some cases, we may be able to help.
What happens if your offer expires?
If the deadline passes without you accepting, the offer is no longer active. You may still be able to get a new offer, but the amount could be different based on current market conditions. See our article on expired offers for more details.
Can I extend my offer deadline?
If you need more time to make a decision, contact Opendoor support at 888-352-7075 before your deadline expires. Extensions are handled on a case-by-case basis, but the team may be able to give you additional time.
Important: Do not wait until after the offer expires to request an extension. Once an offer expires, you will need to request a refreshed offer, which may come at a different amount.
