My offer expired before I saw it -- can I get it back?

Contact Opendoor support at 888-352-7075 or support@opendoor.com to ask about getting a refreshed offer. In many cases, we can generate an updated cash offer for your home -- but the amount may differ from your original offer.

Why offers expire

Every cash offer (also called your final offer) has an expiration date, which is shown on your dashboard at opendoor.com. Offers are valid for a limited number of days because home values and market conditions change over time. The exact expiration date varies, so always check your dashboard for the specific deadline on your offer.

Can I get a new offer?

In many cases, yes. Here is what to expect:

  • A refreshed offer may be available. Contact support and we will check whether we can generate an updated offer for your home.
  • The amount may change. A refreshed offer is based on current market conditions, which means it could be higher or lower than your original offer.
  • In some cases, you may need to start over. If a refreshed offer is not available, you can re-enter your address at opendoor.com to begin the process again with a new preliminary offer.

Note: Restarting the process means you would go through the assessment step again, so it is worth reaching out to support first to see if a refreshed offer is the faster path.

How to request a refreshed offer

  1. Log in at www.opendoor.com and select your address from the top right-hand corner drop-down, you will then be prompted to refresh your offer.
  2. Contact support. Have your property address ready.
  3. Let us know your offer expired. Our team will check your account and let you know your options.
  4. Review the refreshed offer on your dashboard once it is ready. You will receive an email notification when it is available.

Agent Listed

Agent-listed properties are unable to be refreshed. If your agent has listed your property on the MLS, your agent will need to request a new offer on www.opendoor.com/agents.

How to avoid missing your offer next time

  • Check your email and dashboard regularly after submitting your self-assessment photos or completing your in-person walkthrough.
  • Note the expiration date shown on your offer page at opendoor.com and set a personal reminder.
  • Look in your spam folder. Offer notification emails sometimes get filtered.

Tip: As soon as you receive your cash offer, review it promptly -- even if you are not ready to make a decision yet. Knowing the expiration date gives you time to plan.
